We’re not looking for technical perfection, so design it any way you can (even if it’s a sketch on a napkin). Submit it with your application. You will work closely with Marketing and Growth Managers to help tell the world about Shopify’s unique employer value proposition and raise the global brand awareness of Shopify as a top employer. The Insight: Most employees at Shopify are either business owners, founders, creatives, etc. They have an entrepreneurial spirit, which is what makes them have a diverse view and perspectives and the company understands that. Also, after a deep dive into Shopify’s website, there was a section that caught my attention. It was the section where it says “We’re astrophysicists, high school dropouts, salsa dancers and business owners. The path to Shopify is never a straight line …”, which was fascinating and interesting to read. Thought this might be a great angle to create an ad from. The Solution: (PS: Note that the images used here are images of real Shopify employees, including the position and other careers stated). After my insights, it was just perfect to build an ad around the campaign name “The Path to us is never straight“. The ad proposed will be a mixture of photos and video as deliverables and this ad will be focusing on the current positioning of Shopify as a brand that is all about entrepreneurial spirit and also a focus that employees all come from different backgrounds, which the company celebrates and makes them who they are. The way this ad will be brought to life will be seen below Video Ad: The video ad will begin by opening with the tag “The path to Shopify is never a straight line” then the next scene will show various people/employees in their elements, such as a musician singing, a salsa dancer dancing, an artist drawing, a nurse, a student reading on his laptop, business owner showcasing their products, a photographer and so on, to depict the idea that employees at Shopify come from various backgrounds and all we have in common is our diverse perspectives. After this certain scene, then a blank screen with flipping words of different professions that reads “We are dancers/musician/astrophysicists/teachers/students/artists (so on)”. Then what shows on the screen next will be the campaign name “Show us what you can do”. “Shopify Careers” “Learn more and join us at www.shopfy.com/careers” To ensure the continuation of this program, “The Path to us is never straight”, we will highlight some of our employees, it could be quarterly or monthly and showcase what else they do from their primary role at Shopify. Samples of how they could be highlighted can be seen in the sample images. ABOUT: NRML is a company that specializes in selling sportswear, sneakers, streetwear, and more. In recent years, the brand has garnered a significant following among sneakerheads, streetwear aficionados, and sports enthusiasts. Therefore, it makes perfect sense to design a targeted campaign that caters to these specific audiences. SOLUTION: We came up with a campaign titled “We Love the Game”. "We Love the Game" is a campaign centered around visually appealing images, videos, and other visuals. We recognize that the word "Game" can hold diverse meanings for different individuals. For sports enthusiasts, it may refer to the actual sport of basketball, football, or any other physical activity, while for fashion, sneaker, or streetwear enthusiasts, it may imply being fashion-forward and on-trend with their clothing choices. In this campaign, we prioritize our customers and their interpretations, as each person can relate to it in their unique way.
